Education Coordinator (Full-Time, 32 hours)
What You'll Do
The Education Coordinator, under the direction of the Associate Director of Residential, provides leadership and oversight of all Education Programs. This role supports staff development, strengthens communication across departments and agency programs, and collaborates closely with Program Administrators to support broader organizational planning. The Education Coordinator also oversees equipment management and helps ensure effective delivery of program support services.
Hours of Work: 32 hours, Monday-Thursday (7am-3pm or 8am-4pm)
Compensation: $47,600-$53,500 annually
Responsibilities:
- Provide oversight of the Education Programs
- In collaboration with the clinicians facilitate the intake and discharge plans for clients
- Oversee education policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with the clinicians in decision making around client education needs and education program changes, etc.
- Facilitate the placement of clients attending school in the community.
- Liaison with the public school system and education team.
- Coordinate with clinicians the distribution of school records e.g. grade reports, summary reports at discharge. Provide supervision, evaluation, and consultation to the Education Administrative Assistant.
- Serve as a resource for summer school, vocational options and college/higher education.
- Complete staff evaluations on a timely basis; use staff discipline procedures as necessary, consulting with Human Resources as needed.
- Attend team meetings periodically to be available for suggestions from staff, to participate in discussions to facilitate teamwork, and to promote smooth functioning between support services and home teams.
- Responsible for tracking and monitoring utilization and outcome data, including quarterly reporting for the all agency report card.
- Responsible for timely Quality Assurance compliance as related to employee’s roles and functions.
- Provide support and direction to the Education Specialists group.
- Collaborate with Lighthouse personnel to plan and implement the balanced calendar as well as intercession days.
- Regular participation in supervision meetings and team meetings for the sharing of ideas, feedback and department planning.
- Utilize opportunities provided for growth and professional development; this includes ongoing participation in training sessions or workshops.
- Express ideas, suggestions, and concerns in a timely and appropriate manner, using established channels and opportunities to seek resolution.
- Regular, predictable, and reliable attendance is an essential function of this position. The employee must maintain a consistent work schedule and be available during the assigned hours to perform the duties of this role.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required, degree in Education or Human Services field strongly preferred.
- Minimum of two years of experience working with adolescents.
- Minimum one year of supervisory experience preferred.
- Prior experience working with an interdisciplinary team in a residential treatment setting preferred.
- Subscription to the Statement of Faith of Wedgwood Christian Youth & Family Services and agreement with the goal, purpose and objectives of the agency.
