Gain Hands-On Experience in ABA & Residential Care

We are seeking an ABA Intern to support our clinical team within a residential program serving teens diagnosed with developmental disabilities, including Autism Spectrum Disorder.

In this role, you will gain hands-on experience applying Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles in a real-world setting. You’ll work alongside BCBA clinicians and a multidisciplinary team—learning how to support behavior plans, collect data, and contribute to a structured, therapeutic environment.

This internship is ideal for students interested in behavioral health, psychology, or pursuing a career in ABA or clinical services.

Schedule & Compensation

  • Paid internship: $14.00/hour

What You’ll Learn & Do

With support from BCBA clinicians, you will:

  • Observe and assist with implementation of ABA interventions and behavior support plans
  • Support data collection, documentation, and basic analysis of client behaviors
  • Participate in team meetings and learn how treatment decisions are made
  • Assist in maintaining a safe, structured, and supportive environment for residents
  • Contribute to the development and adjustment of individualized behavior plans
  • Learn ABA principles, ethics, and best practices through hands-on experience and training
  • Help maintain a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment grounded in the Sanctuary Model® (safety, emotional intelligence, open communication, and social learning)
  • Support basic administrative tasks, including maintaining accurate and confidential records

Background & Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s program in Psychology, Human Services, Sociology, or a related field
  • Strong interest in working with individuals with Autism or developmental disabilities

  • Strong communication skills and willingness to learn as part of a team
  • Commitment to confidentiality and ethical practice
  • Ability to maintain consistent, reliable attendance and adhere to scheduled hours
  • Alignment with Wedgwood’s Statement of Faith, vision, and values.
