JOB GOAL: BCBA Clinicians design and oversee the implementation of early intensive behavioral intervention programming for young children with autism spectrum disorders in the Autism Center for Child Development.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design and oversee the implementation of early intensive behavioral intervention programming for young children with autism spectrum disorders.
- Conduct initial and ongoing verbal behavior/language and skills assessments (e.g., VB-MAPP).
- Conduct functional assessments/analyses as indicated.
- Develop goals based on assessment information and family priorities.
- Write treatment plans and protocols for skills acquisition and behavior reduction targets based on the best available evidence and clinical judgment.
- Oversee the implementation of programming.
- Monitor client progress.
- Prepare Quarterly Progress Reports
- Meet with parents/guardians to review progress and update treatment plan and goals
- Make changes to programs based on data.
- Train, lead, supervise, and mentor RBTs and BCaBAs.
- Assist with initial training and orientation of new employees; coordinate trainings with Department Assistant and other Wedgwood staff.
- Conduct initial and annual competency assessments for RBTs.
- Provide at least monthly individual supervision of RBTs and BCaBAs.
- Provide weekly group supervision of RBTs and BCaBAs. Consult with the Director to coordinate information disseminated in team meetings.
- Complete regular treatment integrity assessments of RBTs and remediate any deficiencies.
- Ensure paperwork, data collection, billing, and related documentation requirements are completed in the time frames required.
- Review all designated written reports as needed.
- Educate and direct staff in agency policies, procedures, and principles of teamwork, as needed.

- Coordinate with HR and implement disciplinary procedures as necessary. Train parents, educators, and other stakeholders on client programming and behavioral principles.

- Consult and collaborate with schools, daycares, medical professionals, and other disciplines.
- Assist with administrative tasks and oversight of the ACCD.
- Coordinate with the Department Assistant to ensure smooth operation of ACCD business (e.g., parent arrival, staff issues, scheduling).
- Exercise discretion and independent judgment in the management of client services and supervision of treatment team according to ACCD policies.
- Handle treatment team complaints and grievances.
- Work cooperatively with the Human Resources department in staff hiring, participating in interviews, as needed.
- Represent the ACCD professionally and ethically to internal and external stakeholders.
- Maintain minimum billable client treatment requirements.
- Maintain privacy and confidentiality according to HIPAA regulations and ACCD policies.
- Responsible for tracking and monitoring utilization and outcome data, including quarterly reporting for the all agency report card.
- Responsible for timely Quality Assurance compliance as related to employee’s roles and functions.
- Provide a bridge between agency administration and program staff through awareness and communication of agency planning, policies, and procedures.
- Participate in agency budgeting, planning and policy development as needed.
- Keep informed of current and potential community program developments and activities.
- Utilize educational opportunities and resources offered by the agency and through the profession for continued development of skills and clinical expertise.
- Use the knowledge and skills of his/her supervisor to increase understanding of treatment programming and leadership skills to further professional development.
- Participate in required trainings.
- Maintain current BCAB certification.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master’s degree from an accredited program
- Certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
- At least one year of experience working with individuals with autism spectrum disorders.
- Evidence of being able to communicate expressively and receptively.
- Subscription to the Statement of Faith of Wedgwood Christian Youth and Family Services and agreement with the goal, purpose, and objectives of the agency.
HOURS OF WORK: FT: Monday- Friday, 40 hours, Schedule arranged with the Director of the ACCD and expected to be present at the center while therapy is taking place.
