Position Summary:

Under the guidance of a MRI Tech, follows established protocols and guidelines while performing a wide variety of diagnostic MRI procedures. Responsible for the production of high-quality diagnostic images needed to provide physicians with clinical data to aid in establishing a diagnosis. Provides good customer service when explaining any patient preparation, patient scheduling, and procedure instructions and processes. Communicates and works with Radiologists in a manner that improves patient care.

What you will do:

  • Deliver caring and courteous service to patients
  • Perform MRI scans according to protocol as established by overseeing Radiologists
  • Practice MRI safety guidelines including patient and staff screening, implant review and documentation
  • Document proper history following ICD 10 protocol
  • Report equipment failures, staff and patient injuries or near misses according to hospital policies
  • Stock area as needed
  • Clean rooms, equipment and wear PPE according to infection control guidelines
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

What you will need:

  • High school diploma and a student of an approved American MRI technology program.
  • Attained second year in MRI Program and in good standing.
  • Certification or re-certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) within three months of hire.
  • Must have completed first year of approved MRI program in good standing.
