Position Purpose:
The Rehabilitation Tech is responsible for preparing treatment areas, cleaning treatment areas, obtainment of supplies, transporting, positioning and in assisting patients/clients, therapists and therapist assistants in the completion of the therapy treatment plan. The Rehab Tech may also be assigned routine clerical support tasks in support of the patient care process.
What the Rehab Tech Will Do:
Reviews the chart of clinic patients to ensure all testing/correspondence is included and enters information to be part of the patient’s medical record (EMR/paper) as appropriate. Completes forms needed for appointments and begins and retrieves information in preparation for upcoming visits.
Readies patient rooms for visit, setting up necessary equipment, instruments, and supplies.
Rooms patients with friendly greetings, utilizing AIDET and 2 patient identifiers, prepares them for visit; coordinates patient flow into exam rooms in preparation for the visit, gathers and documents pertinent data from patients and enters information into the medical record. This may include vitals.
Collaborates with clinic staff and assists with the safe transporting and transferring of patients.
Contributes to complete and accurate patient records performed under the direct supervision of a licensed clinician.
Completes and records vitals and L-Dex Lymphedema Test (Lymphedema Clinic) for patient care.

Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED.
Must complete assigned foundational courses in medical terminology, body structure and directional terminology within 30 days of hire or have certification equivalent.
American Heart Association BLS Certification or equivalent
