Position purpose:
Provides professional project management expertise and coordination for a variety of complex, high-profile projects, programs and initiatives. Coordinates and leads project teams through all project phases, including planning, sourcing, execution, implementation and assessment. Troubleshoots problems and ensures completion of project deliverables, adhering to established standards, budgets and schedules. Provides project status updates to stakeholders, management and leadership. Develops and executes communication plans. The Senior Project Manager for Pharmacy Services supports pharmacy projects across Michigan.
Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
Five years of project management experience. Three years of experience with change management,
process redesign and systems implementations initiatives. Experience interacting with executive
leadership
What Senior Project Manager will do:
Translates strategic objectives into defined projects or programs by partnering with leadership to establish ownership, objectives, and scope.
Supports regional development and management of operations improvement initiatives. Measures and tracks cost reduction and revenue improvement projects.
Supports the development of new service lines, business models, and partnerships, in conjunction with the Mercy Health Innovation Hub.
Provides professional project management, leadership and coordination for assigned projects, programs and initiatives. Coordinates, leads and oversees the work of project teams through all project life-cycle phases – i.e., vendor RFI and RFP, initial planning and development, process design, business requirements definition, testing, execution, implementation, training, communication and completion.
Develops and implements project work plans, identifies resources, develops budget, and defines task requirements and project milestones and deliverables. Uses established project management tools to facilitate project planning, scheduling, management and reporting.
