What the Vascular Technologist will do:
- Assist in developing department educational program.
- Conduct assessment of staff technical skills and consult with department manager.
- Arrange conference/workshop for staff as needed.
- Support preceptor/mentor program.
- Schedule rotation of residents through the Vascular Lab.
- Provide patient educational material.
- Arrange site visits for department staff.
- Provide reference manual for units and physicians.
- Assist in development and revisions of departmental policy and procedure manual.
- Assist in preparing the department for accreditations with the ICAVL, JCAHO and AOA.
- Assist in developing departments regional presence and evaluation of outreach/satellite sites.
- Conduct annual visits to referring physicians offices.
- Act as contact person for physicians, staff etc. relating to technical and operating components or during the absence of the clinical manager.
- Access and document patient information in the automated patient medical record.
What the Vascular Technologist will need:
- Registered Vascular Technologist.
- BCLS certified.
- Occasionally required to lift, carry and/or push or pull up to 200 pounds.
