Position Summary:

The Clinical Nurse Supervisor is a licensed registered nurse (RN) accountable for leading, managing & advancing people, processes & / or programs that support direct or indirect patient care. The NL promotes & advocates for patients, nurses / colleagues & the practice of nursing as defined by clinical area(s) of expertise & assignment.

What the Clinical Nurse Supervisor will need:

  • Graduate of accredited educational program for professional nursing. BSN preferred.
  • BCLS certification, ACLS preferred.
  • Michigan Registered Nurse licensure required.
  • 2-3 years clinical nursing experience

What the Clinical Nurse Supervisor will do:

  • Frontline, department-based, direct or indirect healthcare department / program

  • Formally / informally supervises daily & / or house functions of charge nurses, professional & frontline staff (multidisciplinary team) of assigned department

  • May or may not have direct report relationships

  • May be accountable for the staff coordination, scheduling & assignment or throughput

  • May participate in & contributes to the performance management / review process

  • Contributes to the daily performance, daily adherence to regulatory requirements & drives results of team within assigned department

  • Implements departmental plans & priorities identified by accountable nurse leaders.
