Position Summary:
Performs routine and/or specialized cardiac ultrasound exams. The echocardiographer acquires/analyses data using diagnostic medical ultrasound and related technologies providing calculations/data for medical staff interpretations.
What Cardiac Sonographer - Clinic Echo Technologist Will Need:
Graduate of a two-year approved program or two-year program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Educational Programs (CAAHEP).
Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) with Cardiovascular Credentialing International. If not credentialed must be able to attain credentials within 1 year of hire. Once registered, must maintain registry status in compliance with the CE requirements of their certifying organization for the imaging modality in which they perform services.
Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
Certification or re-certification in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) within three months of hire.
Ability to lift to a maximum of 35lbs. and perform push/pull tasks that require a maximum force of 35 lbs.
Preferred: Bachelor degree from an accredited CAAAHEP program.
Preferred: One or more years of ultrasound experience
