Position Summary:
This position serves to build and manage a corporate relations program with overarching goal of securing new partners, upgrading current partners, and retaining long-term support. Manage portfolio of top corporate donors/prospects and be responsible to achieving annual revenue goals and visits made in alignment with standards from Trinity Health System Office of Philanthropy. In accordance with the direction set by the Saint Mary's Foundation President, carries out the vision, goals and strategy that leverages corporate donor relationships for Trinity Health Saint Mary's; and, creates plans that fosters community engagement through West Michigan.
What the Corporate Relations and Community Engagement Officer will need:
- Bachelor's degree in business or related field such as event planning, public relations, communications, marketing, or advertising.
- Minimum At least 2-3 years fundraising or project management experience.
- Demonstrated successful work with corporations and business organizations securing financial support to enhance partnership preferred.
- Must be organized with high attention to details. Ability to manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines. Ability to work with people of diverse backgrounds. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated experience with strong customer relations.
- Experience with project/event management preferred.
What the Corporate Relations and Community Engagement Officer will do:
- In coordination with President of Saint Mary's Foundation, manages Corporate Partner Program with overarching goal of securing new partners, upgrading current partners, and retaining long-term support. Maintains a dynamic portfolio of at least twenty-five corporations and works with other health care system departments to develop an organizational-wide partnership with respective corporation.
- Supports strategy and implements plan for community engagement within greater Grand Rapids to build relationships with organizations and individuals for further donor pipeline development. Community engagement may include third party fundraising efforts and serving as liaison for all such events to promote opportunity; community engagement may include special donor groups as identified by
- President of Saint Mary's Foundation to build donor/prospect pipeline.
- Supports strategy and implements plans in coordination with President of Saint Mary's Foundation for special donor groups including up next that includes promotes revenue growth and donor/relations/management objectives. Monitors budget to assure on track for achieving success of reaching or exceeding goals.
- Plans, implements and executes events that promote relationship building, showcase impact of organization, and offer opportunity for further engaging participants with potential major gift cultivation/solicitation.
- Communicates and collaborates with Foundation Board members and other volunteers, donors, public relations and marketing departments of health care system, community and business leaders, vendors, and other professional regarding various aspects of corporate relations and community engagement opportunities
