The Histotechnologist will prepares micro slides, adequate for pathologic interpretation of disease using routine and special procedures of fixative, processing and staining of surgical and necropsy specimens.
Histotechnologist Full Time 40 hours per week

What the Histotechnologist will do:
- Operates all histology equipment and perform all histological procedures.
- Performs special staining and instrument trouble-shooting.
- Performs analytical functions as calculating, weighing and correlating of information.
- This position has exposure to infectious disease, hazardous chemicals and carcinogens. This position requires considerable walking, standing, bending or occasional lifting of objects weighing 40 pounds or less.
What the Histotechnologist will need:
- Minimum: Associate degree (histology technician)
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree (histology technician laboratory)
- Minimum: ASCP certification for Histology Technologist or Histology Technician Laboratory
- Minimum: One-year hospital lab experience.
