We are hiring a Program Manager, Custom Surfaces to develop and manage the implementation of marketing activities for our custom material programs in order to optimize external user experience (Dealers and A&D) to support the sales of Steelcase products.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Sets program strategies with business objectives and measures to achieve program goals.
- Proactively consults and partners with marketing and operations to develop and guide owned programs which includes pricing, market research, warranty, and culling.
- Analyze market, sales, financial and other data to support planning and creating recommendations to achieve objectives.
- Analyze statistics and determine appropriate program financials to support the profit goals of brand and company, as well as develop and manage budgets for assigned programs.
- Determines pricing for all incoming custom surfaces requests.
- Sets and implements standards, timelines and measuring results.
- Establishes internal and external networks and key stakeholders for these programs.
- Seeks, synthesizes and translates insights from internal and external partners to ensure customer value and inform the enhancements of current custom material programs.
- Develops and implements aligned program enhancements.
- Work closely with Surface Materials marketing, marketing communications, sales training and operations to develop promotional programs and tools for the custom surfaces program in support of product sales plans.
- Conduct training for sales and other audiences regarding the custom surfaces program.
Your Future Team:
The Surface Materials team owns the aesthetic of our furniture offerings. We are an essential, core aspect of our organization and business model. We lead all components of our applied materials processes for our furniture products.
Required Skills and Competencies:
- Undergraduate degree required, preferably in Marketing, Finance or Business
- 4+ years of marketing, finance or other business experience
- Ability to interpret and execute policies that affect programs
- Ability to develop and recommend new or modified polices that enhance the impact and profitability of programs
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong financial acumen and ability to analyze financial data to inform pricing strategies and profitability
Preferred Skills and Competencies:
- Knowledge or experience working in a design-based environment
- Product marketing, finance or project management experience
