Position Summary:
SpartanNash is looking for a capable business analyst in the data analytics field with domain expertise in supply chain management to help drive engagements that can accelerate the decision support processes within the organization on its Snowflake data lake platform.
This role is responsible for assisting business users to define analytical KPIs/perspectives and have them translated into functional specs for execution by IT teams. The business analyst is also expected to play a key role in performing data discovery functions for feasibility studies, as well as drive proof of concepts prototypes on Power BI to showcase analytical capabilities.
The candidate must be self-directed and comfortable in supporting a complex data environment and be the primary liaison between business IT teams to drive end to end analytical engagements.
Here’s what you’ll do:
Engage with business users to prepare functional specs
Perform feasibility analysis for analytical requests
Build prototypes and wireframes of proposed analytical reporting/dashboard solutions using Power BI
Coordinate with data architecture, data engineering, and report development teams to develop analytical products
Guide business through user acceptance cycles
Support ad-hoc information requests from business users
Mentor and/or coach less experienced supply chain data analysts
Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
Here’s what you’ll need:
Degree in Business Analytics, or Business Administration or related field or equivalent combination of education and/or experience
Skilled in data analysis using SQL and Power BI
Domain expertise in Supply Chain management
Knowledge of digital e-com analytics would be preferable
Excellent communication skills
