The Opportunity
The Family Governance Paralegal will serve as a key member of the Family Governance Team. This role will assist with a variety of work in support of the Family Governance Senior Manager including support of the overall Family Governance function related to Family Entity Board, Committee and Task Force meetings.

What You'll Do - Assist in Family Entity Board, Committee, and Task Force meeting scheduling, catering, content development and coordination, proofread and edit documents and presentations, file management and electronic distribution of meeting material.
- Review Board and Committee meeting notes and minutes including gathering signatures.
- Prepare talking points from previous meeting for Board and Committee Chairs.
- Track attendance, send Outlook calendar invitations, and communicate teleconference/videoconference needs.
- Coordinate travel when meetings are held offsite.
- Manage deadlines effectively and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Handle multiple priorities and deadlines with exemplary follow through and confidentiality.
- Exhibit foresight and initiative in recognizing potential problems, needs and/or inefficiencies, and pro-actively propose alternative, creative, and innovative ways to best accomplish superior outcomes.
- Provide support and coordination for a variety of projects related to legal matters and otherwise, including research, planning, reporting, creating timelines, tracking, follow up, and in some cases project leadership.
- Organize and accurately maintain files, facilitate items that require approval/signature, and manage data.
- Support family governance activities.
- Assist with special projects as assigned.
What You'll Bring - Bachelor’s degree or paralegal certificate.
- A minimum of five years’ experience as a paralegal or similar governance role.
- Strong understanding of governance and compliance principles and best practices.
- Experience working alongside attorneys.
- Familiarity with common legal terms and documents.
- Excellent organization and writing skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to proof and edit Board-level content.
- Demonstrated excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral with the ability to interface with a diverse array of audiences and stakeholders.
- Strong judgment and comfort-level working with confidential, sensitive, and proprietary information, as well as an uncompromised commitment to the highest level of confidentiality.
- Ability to get along with diverse personalities and a desire to work in a cross-functional team environment.
- Must demonstrate a high degree of integrity, ethics, discretion, and dedication to the mission of the organization.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
