What You’ll be Doing:

  • Develop, implement and execute a risk-based responsible sourcing program with a primary focus of vendors producing within the United States.
  • Develop and implement corresponding policies and procedures.

  • Develop systems, including within existing technology, to support the execution of the program.

  • Identify opportunities to leverage artificial intelligence to increase efficiencies within program design.

  • Conduct and review supplier assessments and audits to ensure compliance with developed Meijer standards.

  • Collaborate with suppliers to improve their practices and ensure alignment with company standards.

  • Monitor and report on the performance of suppliers and vendors cross-functionally.

  • Identify and mitigate risks in the supply chain related to responsible sourcing.

  • Develop and provide training and support to internal teams on domestic responsible sourcing policies and procedures.

  • Develop processes for identification and implementation of continuous improvement opportunities.

  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in responsible sourcing globally.

What You Bring with You (Qualifications):

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in compliance, sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management, with a focus on responsible sourcing preferred.

  • Strong knowledge of ethical and social standards in supply chain management.

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence across multiple levels.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to project manage and lead cross functional teams through change management.
