Salary & Benefits:
$40,240 - $44,240, commensurate with experience

Primary Duties:
Under the direction of leadership, provide direct support to students through case management services, including resource referral, follow-up, and basic self-advocacy support.
Provide outreach, educational opportunities, and other student services as appropriate.
Collaborate with campus partners within Student Affairs and across the university and participate as a member of the University CARE Team.
Assist in providing consultation to faculty, staff, and supporters regarding student challenges, concerns, and appropriate referral options.
Promote holistic development and integrated care to foster student success.
Assist in maintaining relationships with community-based resources within the Allendale & Grand Rapids Community.
Maintain all required documentation of activities within Maxient database system.
Support compliance with reporting requirements under Title IX, the Clery Act, and other applicable regulations, in consultation with supervisor.
Demonstrate commitment to working with traditionally underserved or marginalized populations and assist in connecting students to appropriate campus support.
Perform other duties as required/assigned by leadership.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, or related field.
One (1) year of relevant experience in case management, student support, human services, or related area (internships and graduate assistantships may be considered).
Ability to work effectively with all constituents (students, faculty, administration, community members, parents and supporters).
Demonstrated ability to exercise professional judgement and leadership, including the ability to work independently.
Strong interpersonal skills, including strong oral, written, and listening communication capabilities.
Ability to manage sensitive information and maintain confidentiality.
Ability to establish and maintain professional working relationships with colleagues and be thoughtful of multicultural environment.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Master’s degree (completed or in progress) in student affairs, social work, psychology, or related field.
Experience working in higher education environment or student support setting.
Experience working with Maxient Database System.
Experience working in the areas of crisis management, behavior intervention, and community standards in higher education environment.
Working knowledge of Title IX, FERPA, and other regulations associated with the position.
Demonstrated success in collaborating with campus wide stake holders.
