Summary: As part of the payroll team, the Payroll Assistant works under the direct supervision of the Payroll Manager to process and review bi-weekly and semi-monthly payrolls. This position ensures compliance with Friend of the Court orders, garnishment requirements, tax levy laws, and various regulations. The role involves specialized and confidential work, requiring the ability to interpret and apply University policies, federal tax regulations, and State labor laws to ensure all payroll processing meets legal requirements.

Supervision Received:
Receives minimal supervision from a designated supervisor. Much of the work is self-initiated. Person is expected to function with considerable independence and apply appropriate policies and procedures within the assigned area of responsibility.

Job Type: 12 month, 8am-5pm during normal business hours.

Job Classification & Benefits: C4 Level. Minimum starting wage of $22.04 per hour
