Required Qualifications:
- High school graduate.
- Minimum of three years of related work experience and/or relevant training.
- Demonstrated experience to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Demonstrated experience to maintain positive intercultural and interpersonal relationships.
- Demonstrated experience to provide quality customer service.
- Ability to maintain satisfactory work performance and attendance records.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated experience working with databases and computer software.
- Demonstrated experience to work independently, organize own work and coordinate work activities of others.
- Ability to work collaboratively and independently within the auditing unit and Registrar’s Office
Preferred Qualifications:
- Some college course work.
- Higher education experience.
- Leadership experience.
Essential Functions:
Auditing
- Updates student records with information pertinent to graduation requirements throughout the student’s career.
- Sends documents to advisors for graduation audits, reviews information, and updates records.
- Determines if students have met graduation requirements, prepares appropriate paperwork, and communicates with students regarding their progress toward graduation.
- Gathers information required for teacher certification, determines whether requirements have been met, and prepares paperwork for the State Department of Education.
- Provides quality control to check, process, and mail diplomas.
General Functions within the Registrar’s Office
- Assists customers/stakeholders on the phone and in person using excellent customer service skills.
- Performs transfer credit evaluations and updates the student record in response to those evaluations.
- Interprets regulations and procedures and responds appropriately.
- Utilize software and reports to monitor and maintain the quality and accuracy of data.
- Registers students.
- Assists with student employees.
- Serves on the Customer Service Panel.
- Works at registration events.
- Works at Commencement.
- Serves as a notary public for institutional needs (training provided).
- Assists other units within the Registrar’s Office during high demand times.
- Other related duties as assigned.
Additional Information
- Receives supervision and work assignments from a designated supervisor.
- Position schedule (40 hours/week): 8-5 Monday through Friday.
Job Classification/Range: C3 Level. Minimum starting wage of $19.52
