| Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park Audiovisual Specialist Location: Grand Rapids, MI Department: Audiovisual Services Reports To: Audiovisual Manager Schedule: Full-Time, may include evenings, nights, alternating weekends, and holidays as determined by event schedule and operational need Bring Exceptional Experiences to Life At Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park, audiovisual technology helps transform events, programs, and gatherings into memorable experiences. As an Audiovisual Specialist, you’ll combine technical AV expertise with outstanding guest service to ensure events run smoothly from initial planning through the final presentation. You’ll serve as a primary technical resource for events, working directly with guests to understand their needs, coordinating closely with internal Hospitality and Events teams, and setting up, operating, and troubleshooting audiovisual systems throughout Meijer Gardens. Working Conditions: This position requires a flexible work schedule based on event needs, including evenings and weekends. A base schedule is generally maintained during non-event periods, with alternating weekends typical, although schedules may change based on events. Work takes place across professional indoor environments, offices, grounds, exhibition areas, and event spaces throughout Meijer Gardens. Physical Requirements: The position requires mobility throughout offices, grounds, exhibition areas, and event spaces; the ability to observe details at close range and communicate information accurately; and occasional manipulation, setup, and movement of equipment. Employees must be able to handle objects weighing up to approximately 20 pounds with regularity. The role may also occasionally require the use of lifts to adjust lighting or other audiovisual equipment.
