Who You Are : Artprize is looking for a highly organized and proactive Exhibitions Coordinator to support the Exhibitions staff leading up to the ArtPrize event through planning, communication, and implementation of the key goals of the department. This position pays $24/hour and is a seasonal opportunity, that will work between 20-40 hours each week and is expected to last from May 2025 through November 2025. An estimate of the time requirements are below: Key Responsibilities will include: Assist with the production of any off-season programming (i.e. Break It Down Make It Better, Artist / Venue Townhalls) Assist the Exhibitions Manager with communicating to any ArtPrize artists and or venues. Support ArtPrize artists and venues through email, over the phone, and in person. Assist with coordinating and executing artist + venue outreach strategies Assist with any correspondence, questions, or coordination of ArtPrize grant recipients and featured exhibitions leading up to the ArtPrize event. Assist with coordinating the installation logistics for any grant program installations. Assist in the coordination of ArtPrize volunteers as needed by Exhibitions. Assist the ArtPrize exhibitions manager in preparing any relevant documentation or permits for the City of Grand Rapids. Assist with ArtPrize Juror visit + tour and all additional VIP/special guests of ArtPrize as needed, assists in creating + giving tours. Assist with Exhibition programming (i.e. artist talks, artist + venue party, town halls, or information sessions). Proofreading Event Guide, ArtPrize Magazine, Artist Labels, and Venue Map. Be a representative of the ArtPrize team at community events. Assist in the distribution of venue materials and signage. Work with the exhibitions team and production team to plan and execute the artist and venue reception. Assist with the preparation, installation, production and coordination of any ArtPrize curated spaces. Assist with the oversight of the Exhibitions Intern, (i.e. task assignment, scheduling) Assist with the oversight of any exhibition assistants or gallery attendants. Assist with the creation and distribution of surveys for artists and venues.
