Senior Financial Analyst - Zeeland, MI

DISHER is currently partnering with a global supply-chain solutions partner in search of a Senior Financial Analyst to join their team. This organization helps manufacturers grow and succeed by providing end-to-end support across market entry, sales, account management, logistics, and distribution for automotive and other industrial markets. In this role, you will serve as a key member of the finance team, responsible for analyzing financial data, supporting budgeting and forecasting processes, and providing insights that drive strategic decision-making. You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to evaluate financial performance, identify trends, and improve overall business efficiency through data-driven recommendations.

What you'll get to do:

    • Prepare cost estimates and quotations for new programs
    • Analyze and thoroughly understand cost structures
    • Perform ad hoc analyses and reporting as needed
    • Provide analysis of key variances to forecast
    • Research cost trends and recommend costs and rates for use in future-year forecasts
    • Lead improvement activities
    • Maintain and update various files and file formats
    • Provide input on strategic initiatives
    • May lead the development and management of budgeting and forecasting activities
    • Serve as an expert in automotive programs and the use of our volume forecasting tool, currently S&P
    • Provide backup support for other accounting functions as needed
    • Thrive in a multi-industry environment
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop new cost models and pricing structures

What will make you successful:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting preferred
    • 7+ years of relevant experience
    • Automotive, manufacturing, or logistics experience preferred and beneficial
    • Ability to solve complex problems
    • Advanced Excel skills
    • Ability to prioritize competing demands and requirements
    • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to manage and operate effectively in a multiple-reporting structure
    • Proactive, self-motivated, and able to take initiative
    • Ability to perform well under pressure
    • Ability to review blueprints and understand their impact on quoting and costing
    • Ability to evaluate dimensions and determine how they affect freight costs and overall pricing
    • Ability to understand technical parts and components
    • Familiarity with AI tools
