Medical Device Materials Assessment Specialist (Contract) – Grand Rapids, Michigan
DISHER is currently seeking a Medical Device Materials Assessment Specialist for our customer, the leading consumable breathing products manufacturer, in Grand Rapids, Michigan. This CONTRACT role will allow for making significant impact on the quality of our customer's product output. It is anticipated that the project will be 6 months, with the potential for extension. A hybrid work schedule is desired.

What you will get to do:
- Working with suppliers to get material information on the purchased components, finished goods, and raw materials for our products
- Assessing the composition of these and comparing to global regulations for hazardous/restricted chemicals
- Creating compliance statements for our products related to EU MDR, Prop 65, REACH, RoHS, etc.
- Creating and maintaining of material database related to biocompatibility and material selection
- Management of Assent Compliance database - preferred
What will make you successful:
- Material Science or Chemistry Background
- Strong Communication skills working with a global supply base
- Experience with analysis of new materials for early upfront analysis
- Proficient with excel
- Familiarity with Assent Compliance database – preferred
