Procurement Manager – Grand Rapids, Michigan
DISHER is partnering with a motorcycle manufacturer in Grand Rapids, Michigan to fill their Procurement Manager position. In this role, you will maintain relationships with current suppliers and reconnect with past suppliers to assess tooling and parts availability. This role involves analyzing current production rates and comparing them to available quantities to determine demand needs. The ideal candidate will possess strong negotiation skills, as they will be responsible for reviewing historical pricing and negotiating favorable terms with suppliers.

What you'll get to do:
- Maintain relationships with current suppliers to ensure timely delivery of quality parts and materials
- Reach out to past suppliers to assess tooling and parts availability
- Analyze current production rates and compare them to available quantities to determine demand needs
- Review historical pricing data and negotiate pricing with suppliers to ensure cost-effectiveness
- Set up blanket contracts with suppliers for recurring purchases
- Execute spot buys as needed to address immediate production requirements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on purchasing strategies and priorities
What will make you successful:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
- 5+ years experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions
- Excellent negotiation skills with a track record of achieving favorable pricing and terms
- Familiarity with ERP systems and procurement software preferred
