Packaging Engineer - Grand Rapids, Michigan
DISHER is partnering with a local contract packaging organization to identify a Packaging Engineer to join their team in Grand Rapids, MI. This organizes specializes in primary packaging and secondary finished goods packaging for pharmaceutical, consumer goods, food, and nutritional industries. In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop a packaging lab and test procedures to support customers and suppliers.

What you will get to do:
- Manage all technical aspects of product, package, process, and manufacturing onboarding.
- Develop and create technical documentation and specifications.
- Serve as technical liaison for customer and supplier.
- Create packaging work instructions.
- Establish and manage a packaging laboratory and develop test procedures.
- Coordinate efforts with other Praxis departments for onboarding such as Sales, QA and Document Control.
- Provide support across a range of engineering projects.
What will make you successful:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or other related technical field.
- 5 years packaging engineer experience.
- Experience working in packaged goods and assembly environment.
- Engineering and project management team experience in a regulated environment, cGMP, OTC, or pharmaceutical preferred.
- Hands on experience with onboarding customers, package development, specification and packaging instruction creation, design manufacturing experience, plant trial experience, including IQ/OQ/PQ activities and documentation.
- Working knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) related software.
