DISHER is partnering with a motorcycle manufacturer in Grand Rapids, Michigan to fill their Calibration/Testing Engineer position. In this role, you will lead and execute engine calibration development and testing projects on spark ignition internal combustion engines.

What You'll Get to Do:

  • Lead and execute engine calibration development and testing projects
  • Utilize calibration experience to optimize spark ignition internal combustion engines for performance and emissions compliance
  • Collaborate within a team environment to achieve project goals and deadlines
  • Utilize calibration tools such as INCA, MDA, and Matlab/Simulink
  • Utilize dyno and combustion testing equipment to conduct engine performance evaluations
  • Utilize general data logging equipment such as LabVIEW for data acquisition and analysis
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical, software, and mechanical issues during calibration and testing

What Will Make You Successful:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in engine calibration on spark ignition internal combustion engines
  • Must hold a motorcycle license endorsement or be willing to obtain
  • Experience with drive-by-wire systems and engine performance optimization
  • Knowledge of EU 5 Emissions Regulations and catalyst aging/pre/post monitoring
  • Proficiency with calibration tools such as INCA, MDA, and Matlab/Simulink
  • Familiarity with dyno and combustion testing equipment
  • Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of engine systems
  • Ability to use both written and verbal communication effectively at all levels of an organization
  • Must have the current and continuing right to work in the United States of America without restrictions or expirations
