SUMMARY: As a part of the Center for Campus Life (CCL), a Campus Life Assistant will assist in the oversight of our front desk and serve as the point person for those entering the CCL. The individual would answer and direct phone calls appropriately on behalf of all members of the CCL team, and/or assisting any student, staff, or faculty member that comes to the office for support. The student would serve as a source of general information to other students on topics and questions related to all departments within the Center for Campus Life. Specifically, the Student Life Assistant will support the Student Life team to identify the needs and interests of the student population in order to provide a wide range of quality engagement opportunities. The Student Life Assistant will be a resource for students interested in Registered Student Organizations and programming. RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform routine office duties including front desk phone service, file management, appointment scheduling, and project completion for Center for Campus Life staff members. Make connections with community partners to establish community service opportunities for Davenport students. Handle phone calls, conversations, and database documents on behalf of Campus Life utilizing the highest level of confidentiality at all times. > Design flyers and promotional materials for events, programs, and the office in general. Maintain and develop a social media presence for Student Life and Campus Life with content creation and online engagement. Assist with maintaining content of Engage@DU, the student engagement platform. Set up and work informational tables for events in academic buildings and/or Dining Hall. Maintain up to date posters and other promotional materials in approved areas around campus. Assist in the development and organization of social opportunities for students to connect with one another and the Davenport community. Serve as a resource for students by connecting them with leadership opportunities including Registered Student Organizations (RSOs), Campus Activities Board (CAB), and Student Government. Assist with on-site management of campus events while tracking attendance and providing program evaluation. Provide support for the Panther Resource Closet (PRC) by assisting with inventory maintenance and tracking. Understand and abide by all external and internal regulations and policies. Develop and maintain skills by participating in ongoing training seminars.
