This position serves as the MI-TEaCH Analyst and provides consultation and technical assistance for the Michigan Office of Transformation, Engagement, and Community Health (MI-TEaCH) section, under the Office of Culture, Community, Education and Leadership (CCEL). Position evaluates MDHHS programs and services, and provides consultation to administrations and program areas regarding initiatives. Position also researches, develops and provides training to internal and external entities on health equity for all, root cause analysis, and cultural and linguistic evidence-based training.

Required Education and Experience

Education
Possession of a bachelor’s degree in any major.

Preferred: Bachelors or Masters degree in public health, sociology, social work, social science, psychology, community health, training and education, or other related fields.

Experience
Departmental Analyst 9 - No specific type or amount is required.
Departmental Analyst 10 - One year of professional experience.
Departmental Analyst P11 - Two years of professional experience, including one year of experience equivalent to the intermediate (10) level in state service.

Preferred – A minimum of two years’ work experience developing and facilitating health equity for all, root cause analysis, and cultural and linguistic appropriate services training.

Alternate Education and Experience

Departmental Analyst 9 - 12 - Educational level typically acquired through completion of high school and the equivalent of at least two years of full-time active-duty experience at or above the E-6 level in the uniformed services may be substituted for the education requirement.

Position Location/Remote Office: The physical location of this position is Lansing Training Center (LTC) - 1048 Pierpont St., Suite B. Lansing MI 48911, however, an office location within the selected candidate’s county will be considered. Based on operational needs and within established limits, remote work and alternate or hybrid work schedule requests for this position may be considered. Selected candidates who have been approved to work remotely or a hybrid schedule must complete that work within Michigan. Candidates should confirm work location and schedule at the time of interview.

Employees will be provided computers to perform state work. Phones may also be provided for necessary communications. If working remotely, employees will be responsible for providing other components of a remote office at their own expense, including:

  • A secure work location that allows privacy and prevents distractions.
  • A high-speed internet connection of at least 25 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload.
  • Suitable lighting, furniture, and utilities.
As a Condition of Employment: this position requires successful completion of a background investigation and a criminal records check.
