SUMMARY: This position provides support to the Alumni Development team as needed. Candidate will work with all aspects of alumni, development, marketing, and communications and obtain real-world experience via daily tasks and projects. The position will be from May – August. \ RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for creating, maintaining and updating files and record keeping systems. Generate reports, correspondence, presentation materials, spreadsheets and graphics, and other materials using various software programs for the Advancement Office. Assist with special events and functions as needed. May be responsible for greeting visitors, as well as answering and routing incoming calls. Handle documents and donor records while maintaining appropriate confidentiality. Conduct special projects, research and assignments as needed. Update social media content calendars and the Alumni Development Communication calendars. Help with database and website management in regards to constituent records, events and communications. Send event reminder and thank you emails to event attendees. Write and send thank you notes to donors and alumni after events and making year-end gifts. Update the class notes and mail out alumni membership cards. Attend donor and alumni meetings and engagements. Work with the Annual Giving Officer to maintain accurate and efficient pledge processes including tracking, reporting and updating constituent records. Provide GREAT customer service, anticipating and exceeding the needs of our customers. Understand and abide by all external and internal regulations and policies. This includes NCAA, GLIAC and national affiliations associated within athletics or other role specific regulations. Demonstrate and promote the University Cultural Values. Perform other duties as assigned.
