(Student) Corporate Services Assistant

WORK LOCATION: Davenport University

DEPARTMENT: IPEx

POSITION PAY RANGE: $13.73 per hour.

FALL POSITION, Starting after July 6th

SUMMARY:

The Institute for Professional Excellence (IPEx) is the corporate services division of Davenport University. We offer consulting services for customized business solutions and open enrollment programs for non-degree seeking students. In this position, students will have exposure to some of the world’s largest companies through our training initiatives. Student workers perform tasks and complete projects that are vital to the success of the department and directly impact these clients and other professional learners. We are looking for students that want to be exposed to a fast paced, professional environment where they can learn about sales and training strategies for today's business world. Applicants must be willing to take on projects and complete them with autonomy and have the disposition to participate fully in meetings, brainstorming sessions, and work as a team.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Collaborate on client projects such as event planning and corporate training programs
  2. Participate and offer recommendations during planning meetings
  3. Assist in procuring supplies vital to successful delivery of training sessions
  4. Review and proof client proposals, department marketing material, and curriculum
  5. Learn and use multiple software programs including Salesforce, Articulate, Canva, Microsoft Suite, and Google Applications
  6. Researching new opportunities for outreach and completing other tasks as needed
  7. Work with DU internal departments, facilitators, and clients to coordinate logistical details as needed for IPEx custom and open enrollment offerings
  8. Provide GREAT customer service, anticipating and exceeding the needs of our customers
  9. Demonstrate and promote the University Cultural Values
  10. Understand and abide by all external and internal regulations and policies. This includes NCAA, GLIAC and national affiliations associated within athletics or other role specific regulations.

  • Must be enrolled at least half time (6 credits undergrad, 3 credits grad) at Davenport University.
  • Must be meeting Standards of Academic Progress (SAP).
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel.
  • Demonstrated ability to work accurately and effectively with technology.
    Must be flexible to a fast paced, ever-changing environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills when working with internal customers and corporate clients.
  • Operates with a high degree of integrity, ethics, and dedication to the mission of the University.
