(Student) Videography / Photography Intern or Work Study – Goodwill of Greater Grand Rapids
WORK LOCATION: Grand Rapids - Lettinga Campus
DEPARTMENT: Career Services & Exp Learning
POSITION PAY RANGE: $14.00 - 18.00, Hourly
TARGET HIRING RANGE: Actual pay offered will be commensurate with candidate qualifications and experience, the type of role, pay equity and available funding.
SUMMARY:
Goodwill of Greater Grand Rapids is seeking a creative, motivated student to support our Marketing team through photography and videography. This role offers hands-on experience capturing real moments in our stores and community to help tell the story of our mission, our impact, and the people we serve.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Capture photos and short-form video in stores, at events, and in the community
- Create visual content for social media, website, and campaigns
- Help document donation drives, community partnerships, and employee and participant stories
- Assist with basic photo and video editing
- Build a visual content library for future marketing use
- Scheduling and confirming appointments.
- Handling of documents and maintaining a high level of confidentiality.
- Provides GREAT customer service, anticipating and exceeding the needs of our customers.
- Perform in a manner consistent with the values of Davenport University.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be a Marketing student.
- Must be work study eligible.
- Be able to work approximately 15 hours per week. Exact schedule will be determined later.
- Schedule will be within the bounds of Monday through Friday, 8:30 to 5:00 PM but limited to 15 hours per week in order to be compatible with academic schedule.
- High School Diploma or better.
- Experience in office setting preferred but not required
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with people of diverse backgrounds and promote a positive
- working environment, spirit of cooperation and positive reactions to change and conflict resolution.
- Demonstrated excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills, both written and oral
- which transcend diverse audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and relate well to students, parents, faculty, staff,
- and others while maintaining appropriate confidentiality.
- Demonstrated motivational and problem solving capabilities with a high degree of integrity, ethics,
- and dedication to the mission of the University.
- No regular lifting requirements, occasional lifting up to 20 pounds.
