SUMMARY:
Campus Assistant for Casa Latina
The Campus Assistant for Casa Latina performs tasks and completes projects that are vital to the success of the department. These responsibilities are performed in an ethical manner consistent with the University’s mission, vision, and values which include diversity, equity, and inclusion.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support the work of the Casa Latina team with responsibilities ranging from data processing, communication development, industry research, data analysis, and report generation to support increased enrollment of new students.
- Manage special projects, research and assignments as needed.
- Handle documents and data while maintaining appropriate confidentiality.
- Create, maintain and update files, databases, and record-keeping systems.
- Assist with special events and functions as needed.
- Learn and use multiple software programs including Salesforce, Microsoft Suite, and Google Applications.
- Provide GREAT customer service, anticipating and exceeding the needs of our customers.
- Understand and abide by all external and internal regulations and policies. This includes NCAA, GLIAC and national affiliations associated with athletics or other role-specific regulations.
- Demonstrate and promote the University's Cultural Values.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be a Davenport University W.A. Lettinga student
- High School Diploma
- Bilingual preferred
- Must be eligible for work-study.
- Must be enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours and meet the standards of academic progress.
- Minimum GPA of 2.5 or better.
- Good disciplinary standing within Davenport University.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work as an effective and productive team member.
- Experience in an office setting is preferred but not required.
- Demonstrated ability to work accurately and effectively with technology.
- Demonstrates ability to work effectively with people of diverse backgrounds and promote a positive working environment, spirit of cooperation and positive reactions to change and conflict resolution.
- Demonstrates excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills, both written and oral that transcend diverse audiences.
- Demonstrates ability to communicate effectively and relate well to students, parents, faculty, staff, and others while maintaining appropriate confidentiality.
- Demonstrated motivational and problem-solving capabilities with a high degree of integrity, ethics, and dedication to the mission of the University.
- Business office environment. Prolonged sitting and standing. Use of personal computer and telephone (eye and hand strain).
- No regular lifting requirements, occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.
