CLASSIFICATION: Part-time, 7-month contract

REPORTS TO: Head Baseball Coach

DEPT: Athletics

LOCATION: Grand Rapids, MI

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Help plan and administer off-season strength training

· Supervise two lifting sessions per week while classes are in session

· Record daily attendance

· Teach technique and monitor workload

· Report and safety issues or equipment concerns

· Correspond with recruits (e-mail, letters, texts, phone calls)

· Model commitment to Christian character and the Community Covenant standards in behavior and interactions with athletes, coaches, and officials

COMPENSATION: General Stipend Offered

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology, Exercise Science, or related disciplines
  • Prior experience working in strength and conditioning
  • Good organizational and communication skills
  • Advanced knowledge and teaching experience

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES:

  • Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist
  • Experience working with Collegiate Athletes
