Project Coordinator & Marketing Assistant
Cornerstone University is seeking a highly organized, collaborative, and reliable Project Coordinator & Marketing Assistant to support Cornerstone University projects under the direction of the WCSG Brand Manager. This part-time role offers hands-on experience in project management, cross-department collaboration, integrated marketing, and event planning within a Christ-centered university environment. The Project Coordinator & Marketing Assistant will support Advancement and Alumni projects for Cornerstone University.

Position Type: Part-Time (24 hours/week)
Salary: $19.00/hour; Actual salary will be commensurate with experience and education.

What you’d do
Project Coordination & Execution
- Manage project timelines and workflows using Asana and other project management platforms.
- Track deliverables, approvals, and deadlines to ensure accurate and timely completion.
- Communicate consistently with internal teams, leadership, and external vendors.
- Maintain organized records and files of campaigns, creative assets, and production schedules.
- Adapt quickly to changing priorities and project demands.
- Perform other duties as assigned in support of departmental and ministry goals.
Marketing & Brand Support
- Assist in coordinating multi-channel campaigns (print, digital, radio, events, and promotions) with marketing staff members.
- Collaborate closely with graphic designers on layout preparation and production coordination.
- Work directly with printing companies and vendors to get quotes, review proofs, and ensure quality, accuracy, and timeliness.
- Ensure brand consistency for both Cornerstone University and WCSG.
Administrative & Communication Support
- Coordinate meetings, provide documentation, and manage follow-ups.
- Draft and edit written communications with clarity and professionalism.
- Utilize Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) for reporting, presentations, tracking, and communication.
- Represent the Marketing & Communications department professionally in cross-functional meetings.
Event Planning & Support
- Participate in event planning committees and help coordinate efforts to plan, market and execute Advancement and Alumni events including donor events, speaker events, homecoming, reunions, etc.
- Support the marketing of events by preparing or coordinating sign up forms, invitations, and related email marketing.
- Be available to work occasional evenings and weekends for events.
Qualifications required
- Experience in Asana or similar project management platform.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Excellent project management and organizational skills.
- High attention to detail with consistent execution accuracy.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated reliability and professionalism.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and pivot as demands shift.
- Collaborative mindset with a servant-leader approach.

Qualifications Preferred
- 2–3 years of experience in marketing, communications, and/or event planning.
- Experience supporting creative teams or marketing departments.
- Experience with writing and proofing emails and social media posts.
- Experience working with printing companies and understanding print production processes.
- Foundational understanding of design principles and brand standards.
- Familiarity with Christian higher education, nonprofit, or faith-based organizations.
- Open to students pursuing degrees in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related fields who demonstrate strong capability, professionalism, and maturity.
Work Schedule
- Part-time hours with flexibility based on campaign cycles and ministry needs.
- Occasional evening or event support may be required.
