Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital (HDVCH) invite dynamic, self-motivated, and collaborative plastic surgeons to explore a position in the division. The new partner will enjoy working in a practice that sees only pediatric patients and performs the full spectrum of pediatric plastic surgery. The surgeons in the group have pioneered innovative techniques that are now being practiced around the world. Additional training in microsurgery or oral surgery would be a plus. There would be opportunity to expand the practice into adult craniofacial trauma or adult microsurgical reconstruction as desired.

As the primary Pediatric Clinical Academic Partner of Michigan State University College of Human Medicine, academic appointments for qualified candidates are available at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. Clinical research is encouraged and supported, as research is strong component of the division. The division employs a full time research assistant for clinical research efforts.


Qualifications:
Fellowship trained and BC/BE in Plastic Surgery
Preferred:
Board eligible in Oral Surgery and/or trained in Hand Surgery

Practice Description:

The practice includes two pediatric plastic surgeons, a board certified pediatrician with support from nurses and medical assistants along with a pediatric dermatology section with two physician and one advance practice provider. The collaborative practice performs all pediatric plastic surgery including cleft lip and palate, orthognathic procedures, synostosis surgery, congenital craniofacial anomalies, breast surgery, vascular malformations and hand / nerve surgery. Outreach efforts of the group are well established and growing in the State of Michigan.

HDVCH also has one of the nation’s largest NICU’s (108-beds).
