Position Overview
This role provides comprehensive care for patients of all ages with a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions. The provider will assess, diagnose, and treat injuries and pathologies involving the forearm, elbow, and hand.
Key Responsibilities
Evaluate patients and develop individualized treatment plans
Order and interpret diagnostic imaging, including X-rays and advanced imaging studies
Perform procedures such as joint injections and electrodiagnostic studies
Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation, including records, reports, and correspondence
Coordinate patient referrals to specialty providers as needed
Collaborate closely with primary care providers to ensure clear communication of treatment plans and continuity of care
Practice Details
Provide clinic coverage for new, established, and post-operative patients
Opportunity to support Orthopedic Urgent Care coverage as needed
Typical hours are approximately 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM, with daily schedule varying based on assignment
Qualifications
Physician Assistant
Required Master's Degree Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant educational program
LIC-Physician Assistant - STATE_MI State of Michigan Upon Hire required
CRT-Physician Asst Certified (PA-C) - NCCPA National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants Upon Hire required
CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association 90 Days required
CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC American Red Cross 90 Days required
CRT-Pediatric Adv Life Support (PALS) - AHA American Heart Association 120 Days required
CRT-Adv Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - AHA American Heart Association 120 Days required
Nurse Practioner
Required Master's Degree Nurse Practitioners who obtained their education and certification after 2000 must show evidence of completion of a master’s, post-master’s or doctorate from a Nurse Practitioner program that is accredited by the Commission on the Collegiate of Nursing Education or the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission
3 years of relevant experience current, relevant clinical experience Required
