Position Overview

This role provides comprehensive care for patients of all ages with a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions. The provider will assess, diagnose, and treat injuries and pathologies involving the forearm, elbow, and hand.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate patients and develop individualized treatment plans

  • Order and interpret diagnostic imaging, including X-rays and advanced imaging studies

  • Perform procedures such as joint injections and electrodiagnostic studies

  • Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation, including records, reports, and correspondence

  • Coordinate patient referrals to specialty providers as needed

  • Collaborate closely with primary care providers to ensure clear communication of treatment plans and continuity of care

Practice Details

  • Provide clinic coverage for new, established, and post-operative patients

  • Opportunity to support Orthopedic Urgent Care coverage as needed

  • Typical hours are approximately 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM, with daily schedule varying based on assignment

Qualifications

Physician Assistant

  • Required Master's Degree Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant educational program

  • LIC-Physician Assistant - STATE_MI State of Michigan Upon Hire required

  • CRT-Physician Asst Certified (PA-C) - NCCPA National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants Upon Hire required

  • CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association 90 Days required

  • CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC American Red Cross 90 Days required

  • CRT-Pediatric Adv Life Support (PALS) - AHA American Heart Association 120 Days required

  • CRT-Adv Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - AHA American Heart Association 120 Days required

Nurse Practioner

  • Required Master's Degree Nurse Practitioners who obtained their education and certification after 2000 must show evidence of completion of a master’s, post-master’s or doctorate from a Nurse Practitioner program that is accredited by the Commission on the Collegiate of Nursing Education or the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission

  • 3 years of relevant experience current, relevant clinical experience Required

  • Previous experience functioning in a collaborative role Required

  • Experience as a Nurse Practictioner Preferred

  • LIC-Registered Nurse (RN) - STATE_MI State of Michigan Upon Hire required

  • LIC-Nurse Practitioner (NP) - STATE_MI State of Michigan Upon Hire required

  • CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association 90 Days required Or
