Job Summary
The Sr. Operations Specialist will work as part of the health equity evaluation, assessment, and analytics team (HEEAAT). As a system team HEEAAT provides support to the regional health equity and community health teams. This includes development and management of strategies to advance innovative approaches to community health needs assessment and community benefits.
In this role the Sr. Operations Specialist will play a critical role in helping to advance the community health needs assessment and community benefits efforts of the organization. They will have latitude to develop effective operational structures to help advance the organizations goals.
The Sr. Operations Specialist will also integrate into the HEEAAT team and be expected to develop, manage, and iterate upon an effective operational structure for the team that helps it to meet its goals and serve its stakeholders. This will involve working closely with the HEEAAT team leaders to connect strategy to operational actions that will advance the team’s mission.
Applicants should be based in Michigan. Corewell Health operates in West and Southeast Michigan and travel is sometimes required. The HEEAAT team has members across the Corewell Health service area and periodically meets in-person in one of the organizations locations.
Essential Functions
- Manage and oversee the coordination, execution, and supervision of all enterprise CHNA-related contracts, agreements, and MOUs with relevant partners and stakeholders, including some administrative functions such as invoicing, scheduling, and calendar support for team members.
- Provide support for both internal and external CHNA related work groups, standing committees, councils, and relevant governance meetings. This includes all the necessary preparation and follow-up work, as well as the creation of materials needed before and after these meetings.
- Support the alignment of CHNA work with tax and legal requirements, while also being responsible for centralized document retention to ensure compliance with IRS regulations.
- Assist in producing and supporting necessary CHNA related deliverables, inclusive of presentations, charts, visuals documents, and reports - while being highly attentive to detail and have strong interpersonal skills to support working with a wide variety of internal service lines within Corewell Health and external stakeholders across the state of Michigan.
- Collaborate to meet the goals of the organization in developing and maintaining an effective infrastructure for community benefit reporting. This would include maintaining and monitoring project plans to ensure appropriate steps are being taken to achieve identified milestones, and collaborating with Corewell Health leaders to ensure support is available to facilitate the community benefit reporting process.
- Provide operational support to the HEEAAT team by helping to manage workflows, creating project management structures, and supporting the efficient delegation of work.
- Support the HEEAAT director in ensuring the teams goals are being met and effectively reported out on in the context of the organizations operational alignment structure and reporting process.
- The candidate should have strong organizational skills, be able to work in a dynamic and fast paced environment and be able to connect strategy with the operational steps needed to execute on that strategy.
- Experience with healthcare organizations is preferred but not required. Experience working within large organizational structure and having an ability to move within them to execute on work would also be beneficial.

Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in business, healthcare administration or related field
- 5 years of relevant leadership experience
Preferred
- Master's Degree
- 5 years of experience in healthcare and working within an organization of size and comparable to Corewell Health
