Salary Range: $57,120 - $70,560 per year plus an annual bonus

*Note: This position is a hybrid remote/office role, and you must be able to report in person to Ada on Mondays through Thursdays as part of our collaboration days*

What do we need:

This is a highly technical role, requiring exposures to print production and packaging label artwork. This role requires some measure of design aesthetics, but is more of a technical designer, with strong technical skills and talent for highly detailed work. This role is more of a technical artist doing detailed label artwork.

What’s special about this team:

Technical Package design at Amway is focused on building packaging artwork for new product development and business sustaining initiatives in support of all of Amway’s product lines. This team works collaboratively with Artwork Project Managers, Concept Artists, Packaging Engineers, and print suppliers to create world-class artwork files that adhere to Amway’s various brand standards. This team maintains press-ready file excellence and works closely as a team to ensure these files are delivered accurately, on time, and are production-ready. You will have the opportunity to work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment, making sure that Amway’s packaging artwork reflects our brand identity in the global marketplace.

How you would contribute:

In this role, you will work heavily with ESKO, an industry leading platform for managing label artwork. Your goal is to create clean artwork files for cartons, labels, containers, silk-screened bottles, and other packaging components using Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop. With highly technical direction from Artwork Project Managers, Packaging Engineers, and/or print suppliers, your time will consist of managing, updating and tracking packaging artwork in preparation for packaging production. This fast-paced and highly precise role involves managing text revisions in a multitude of languages from around the world on everything from small labels to text-heavy instructional manuals. Editing vector and raster graphic elements in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop are common elements in this role. Exposures in print production would be most helpful in this role.

Your ability to adhere closely to file-building specs will be critical to our collective success, as will your communication with all stakeholders. This is a “heads down” type of role, requiring someone who enjoys organization and detail!

Required qualifications:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in technical package design in a print production environment
  • Demonstrated experience with Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, and print pre-press processes
  • Associate degree in Graphic Design or BA/BS in Packaging desired

  • Understanding of production graphic artist standards with a heavy focus on print production/packaging production
