Job Summary
The Manager, Strategy Planning & Data Analytics plays a key role in driving corporate strategic initiatives and data-driven decision-making.
This position is responsible for leading strategic planning processes, conducting business performance analysis, and providing actionable insights to support executive management.
The role requires strong analytical capabilities, business acumen, and communication skills in both English and Japanese to work effectively in a global corporate environment.
Job Scope
- Lead the development and execution of mid- to long-term business strategies aligned with global and regional priorities.
- Take a role of E2E strategy driver & business transformation partner by leveraging D&A capability and insights.
- Design and manage data analytics frameworks to evaluate business performance and identify key growth opportunities.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with finance, marketing, operations, and digital teams to translate data into strategic recommendations.
- Leading process leveraging AI capabilities in reporting and insight creation
- Serve as a strategic partner to senior leadership, running strategy meeting and facilitating business reviews and management reporting.
- Oversee the development of dashboards, KPIs, and analytical tools that support fact-based management decisions.
Main Responsibilities
- Conduct market, competitor, and performance research and analyses to identify the competitive edges and opportunities, and lead strategic decision-making.
- Manage corporate planning cycles including annual planning, forecasting, and long-term roadmap development.
- Identify business challenges through data analysis and propose actionable solutions for performance improvement.
- Identify opportunity to leverage AI capability for efficient reporting with quality insights, and optimizing resources, and lead process design.
- Facilitate GTM meetings and other management meeting, prepare executive reports, and communicate insights to global stakeholders.
- Ensure data accuracy, governance, and integration across systems to enable consistent analytics reporting.
- Mentor and guide team members in analytical methodology, storytelling, and cross-functional collaboration.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business Administration, Economics, Data Science, or related field (MBA preferred).
- Minimum 7 years of experience in strategy planning, business analytics, or management consulting.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and storytelling skills using data-driven insights.
- Insights for AI driven reporting
- Proficiency in analytical tools and database structure such as Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Python, or GCP is a plus.
- Proven track record of working cross-functionally and influencing senior management.
- Excellent communication skills in English (business level) and Japanese (native or advanced).
- Strong project management and leadership capabilities, with the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
